Relationships are hard! You need a strong sense of emotional security in a healthy relationship, and sometimes that takes a little (or a lot) of work. Let us help you to try and define new relationship goals and work it out. Couples counseling can help you work on identifying barriers to your happiness as a couple and develop more effective communication strategies to advocate for your wants and needs- and hopefully get results! You do not have to be married to benefit from couples counseling and we regularly work with all types of couples. Everyone is welcome!

  • You will receive a secure Patient Portal link where you can complete all intake paperwork and fill in your insurance and demographic information prior to your first appointment.

  • Couples counseling sessions may run from 45-60 minutes, and an hour will be allotted for you.

  • For telehealth sessions, couples can log on to the video call from separate locations.

There are times when it may not be safe or healthy to stay in a relationship. Signs you may be in an abusive relationship:

  • Your partner is physically violent such as punching, kicking, slapping, choking, or throwing things at you and/or your children.

  • Your partner threatens you and/or your children with bodily harm.

  • Your partner insults, shames, and demeans you and/or your children.

  • Your partner attempts to control your finances, your clothing, where you go, who you spend time with, and who you talk to.

  • Your partner serially cheats on you and blames you for their behavior.

  • Your partner forces or continues to pressure or guilt you into unwanted sexual interactions.

  • Your partner “gaslights” you- they manipulate you by denying facts and getting you to second-guess your own judgement, perceptions, and feelings. You may end up apologizing to them for being upset with them in the first place, leaving you confused and even wondering if you’re crazy.
